The Mini is the quality scooter for young children. Its unique 'lean-and-steer' design allows children to use their body weight to control the steering, giving kids the feeling of 'surfing' the sidewalk, as they curve from right to left, almost like a skateboard, adding an element of fun and control that young children love. The Mini scooter is designed with 3 wheels for greater stability and control. The polyurethane wheels create a wonderfully smooth glide -- and a quiet ride (a joy for parents and children alike!). The kickboard is low-to-the-ground and large enough for two feet, making it easy for young children to hop on and off and to switch from pushing -- to just enjoying the ride. The 'spoon' brake at the back adds additional control, and kids like it because its just like the 'big kid' scooters. For parents, the Mini scooter is light weight (only 3.3lbs), so it's easy to pick up and carry when need be. The Mini scooter is designed with a weight recommendation of 60lbs. Please note that the scooter displays a weight limit of 20kg (44 lbs). The reason for the discrepancy is that European standards dictate that weights are approved and displayed only in increments of 10 kg (22lbs), so the next available weight category of 30 kg, or 66 lbs, would have put the displayed recommended weight limit OVER its actual recommendation of 60 lbs. And, the best just got even better - the original Mini scooter has been improved! The design team at Micro-Mobility in Switzerland, are always working to achieve ever-higher standards of excellence. They have recently added a reinforced brake, stronger U-bar, and a new locking pin for easy handlebar removal.
